Dystopi is unique in its zone feature, which adds an extra level of excitement to gameplay. The zones contain four different limiting factors that restrict player movement on the map. Each zone is divided into levels 1-5, and a special attribute determines what the character can withstand and what they can't. Every zone causes damage if the character doesn't have the appropriate level of resistance. Pieces of equipment offer some resistance for harms, but there is no single or even set, that provides the highest level of protection in all zones. The combinations are endless, making success dependent on your tactics and choices.
Acid rain and fog can appear on designated areas at any time and will continuously damage characters without proper protection. They cause relatively high damage but are not present constantly on the area, but appear periodically and end quickly.
Biological Infection affects all living beings. On these areas, damage is continuous and characters receive low, medium, or high constant damage depending on the level of infection while in the zone. Uniquely, if we don't have proper resistance, the damage will increase over time until the character dies.
Freezing conditions within the zone can cause not only continuous low damage but also slows down your character somewhat. Gaining full resistance is key to avoiding this, however, even if a player have protection, a sudden snowstorm can still slow down characters with resistance while those without are vulnerable to freezing and death.
High Heat and UV radiation in desert areas are really dangerous in the game. Characters are constantly exposed to high heat and UV radiation: moderate to high damage if they are not properly protected. Sandstorms can also occur, decreasing visual range, slowing down movement. Even with proper resistance, the extreme heat limits the amount of time players can stay in this area. If time runs out, players will take high damage. Limited number of bunkers and shelters can be found in the desert areas. If you're lucky, you'll find one before succumbing to the heat.
Enemies in the game generally refer to characters or NPCs (non-player characters) that players must battle against or complete missions against to progress in the game. These enemies can range from solo combatants to teams based on the ground, in water or in the air. The enemies provide almost always a challenge for the player to overcome and advance in the game.
